The popular Firefox browser from Mozilla has just past its billionth download. Firefox reached its landmark download on 31st July at 15:00 UTC, at which point the browser was being downloaded at a rate of 24 times per second.
You can track this achievement via an official Mozilla site or over on a Twitter account specifically set up to keep tabs on how many times the open source browser has been downloaded.
Mozilla has launched One Billion Plus You on Monday, which would supposedly give more details and comprehensive statistics on the accomplishment.
